I loved the quaint town of Culpeper, Virginia. Lots of history there. I stayed at a lovely bed and breakfast for a night to do research on my book. You'll find I added tidbits of that area into the story. Is this your first romance novel? Haha, no. This is the fourth clean interracial romance novel I've written. Two of the first three are published and one languishes on my computer. It will be a lot of work to revise and edit. Did you grow up reading interracial romance or christian romance? I don't think interracial romance stories were around--or at least popular--when I was hooked on reading romance novels (I'm older than I look!). I did read christian romance--heavy on the message. I decided to write my books with what I hope is a more natural progression of characters discussing their beliefs--without it being overbearing. At any rate, I hope the story is enjoyable regardless of the message. Why romantic suspense or is it romantic thriller? I think it might be both. I love a good mystery or suspenseful story, and who doesn't love romance? My favorite television shows are are either heavy on the suspense (The Walking Dead) or the romance element is quite strong (Downton Abbey). Yes, that spectrum is quite broad. I also grew up watching Law & Order and eventually I'll write a science fiction book in honor of all the Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes I loved. Speaking of law enforcement, do you have any experience? Yes I do, but not with the FBI or the US Marshals. I remember the US Marshals at the academy I attended. Talk about tall, dark, and handsome men--with incredible builds! Do you write other interracial romance ebooks? Absolutely! If you search K. Victoria Chase on Amazon you'll find all of my titles.
