This short children's story is nearly the culmination of my six and a half years of service in the Army National Guard as a helicopter crew chief. I did many wonderful things during this period, helpful things and fun things. I find that this boiled down concoction is a great way to convey that of which I am most proud. My story, Tom's story, like most is better told when it is told to a child. J. Allen Wright currently lives on the family farm with his wife and son in rural Arkansas. He still works on helicopters.
