The concept of the Body of Christ as the Christian church made up of many integrated parts is based in Christian scripture. Even from the first century many parts became competitive and made claims such as being the "one true church". However well meaning or seemingly justified these separations may have been, these activities have resulted in many 100's of groups or denominations around the world, many of them in conflict. This writing explores the similarities and areas of agreement in contrast to their differences. The objective is to encourage the majority of these groups to see and accept each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. It is in no way an appeal to form a singular organization but recognizes the value, strength and beauty of the integrated, whole Body of Christ - made up of individual parts sharing the same spirit.
