Johnny Stinson, an ex-con who's been down on his luck practically since the day he was born, accepts a lucrative job that leads him to that same dead body and a hysterical Kate. Getting away from the mayhem before anyone inadvertently pins him to the murder becomes his first priority, and kidnapping Kate somehow seems like his only option. Mack Delaney is the Vancouver Police Department's newly appointed Superintendent of Investigative Services. He's in a hurry to solve two Vancouver murders when he receives a call from the Ontario Provincial Police, linking his murders to their missing doctor - and the discovery of another dead body. With a murderer still on the loose, Kate and Johnny and Mack are all caught up in the same nightmare. Unfortunately, none of them are even close to being on the same side.
