Synopsis "Retribution (in English)"
Revenge Served Cold Zoe Shefford and Detective JJ Johnson are just weeks from their wedding, so when the reception venue explodes, her dress no longer fits, and her mother collapses and is facing life-threatening surgery--Zoe is too overwhelmed to find out why the Lord is practically shouting warnings at her about trouble and danger. Misreading the signs, she lets her frustration lead to a fight with JJ that ends their relationship. JJ doesn't know whether to chalk Zoe's behavior up to wedding jitters or something far worse but after she steps on his ego and bruises his heart, JJ buries himself in his work--investigating the murder of an undercover officer. And when someone needs to fly to Alaska and bring back their number one murder suspect, JJ doesn't think twice about going. When the bush plane crashes on the edge of a fierce blizzard, JJ is critically injured.
