Human trafficking from forage into literature has been described as a heinous human activity that involves exploitation of human being for financial gains. Besides, the issue of human trafficking is a perennial occurrence that has remained in the front burner of discourse owing to negative consequences it generates and its persistence within the society. A number of attempts have been made by individuals, groups, communities and government the world over to address the issues of human trafficking but the act still persist. In view of the temerity of human trafficking as a menace within the society; it becomes imperative to further expatiate on issues relating to human trafficking as means of addressing the challenges posed by human trafficking. The paper gives a general overview of human trafficking; it presents issues relating to focusing on the three elements of what is done such as recruitment and transportation. The means such as use of force and coercion and the third reasons for human trafficking which is economic exploitation for financial gains which includes sexual exploitation and forced labor and diverse government effort in addressing it.
