Local farmer Jack Travers has just been shot and burned, the local sheriff and deputy can make little progress which is further complicated by the appearance of Annie, Jack's daughter, young, pretty and headstrong. Deputy and daughter soon bond, but the gang is always one step ahead and outwit the pair, seeming to move without hindrance through the dry land. Even when one of the henchmen of the gang is identified, he is quickly dispatched along with his informant. Then Annie unwittingly falls into the hands of the gang and the investigation flounders once again. Only a desperate move by the deputy rescues the girl and scatters the gang.Buckle up and settle in for an action-packed story peppered with great Western characters and more twists and turns than a rawhide rope.
