Synopsis "Remain in Light (in English)"

REMAIN IN LIGHT is the third in the series of Tom Greenwood's highly imaginative sci-fi novels set on a Dyson Sphere. The earlier novels are A SLIGHT MISTAKE IN THE CODE and NO LONGER YESTERDAY. They say revenge is a dish best served cold. And the new President of the Beesidian Republic (Filip IV) wants revenge served at absolute zero. With knowledge of the entry codes to the Esfive Spire in the realm to the north, he sends three of his best-armed ships on a voyage of exploration, though access to its Spoke will not be easy as Esfive was originally an escape-proof prison. He also sends six agents to Wyive to try and recruit some local politicians, ferment dissent and if possible have another attempt at kidnapping a mage. It's a pity the satellites (aka spy-octopuses) don't work, though - they keep falling off the Inner Sphere. Janol and Onnil are also busy. Janol sails south to the continent of Emchoo to see if he can make friendly contact with the inhabitants, while Onnil travels to the Spoke (where a team of assassins is waiting for her) so she can visit the Realm of S1 to see if the android and wand factories are still functioning. But then Janol is destined to destroy the Beesidian Republic. There's an ancient prophecy saying so. Well not that ancient, as Onnil only wrote it a few weeks ago. And don't say the name George too loudly. That's the name of a demon from the fifth circle of hell (or was it the third abyss, well somewhere like that). You don't want to attract his attention.
