Synopsis "Red Skies At Midnight: A Tricky Dick Key West Mystery (in English)"
When Tricky Dick gets a phone call from someone supposedly long since dead, it sends him on a journey farther south than he wishes to go. But it might also hold the key to figuring out just who killed Scooter. Thomas Connelly is supposedly dead. Naturally Tricky Dick is surprised to hear from him, and even more surprised to discover how much Connelly knows about him. It becomes obvious to him that Scooter's relationship with Connelly was tighter than he thought. Learning that he is living in Cuba, Tricky decides that even if he doesn't want to, it's time for a trip to Cuba. Last he heard Johnny was down there and in trouble, and so now might be the time to wrap up some of the loose ends that are surrounding Scooter's death. Arranging for Smitty to sail him on Scooter's boat (in order to sink it on the way back) he immediately finds more trouble when he discovers a stowaway with an agenda of her own. Add to the mix the reappearance of Traitor Vic, information that Thomas has for Tricky, and the introduction of a surfing pirate, and Tricky soon learns that he's going to have to go deeper into the mystery before he can begin to see the light.
