A year ago, just after graduating with a Master's Degree in journalism, Summer Schauers left Tampa, Florida. She packed everything she owned in her trusty Jeep Wrangler 'Miss Bumble' and headed west to the wide open spaces of Arizona. She has been working for the Tucson Herald Opinion ever since- becoming the lead reporter for the entertainment section. Things are going well but she is looking to expand her resume from just restaurant openings and street festivals. Summer had been harassing her editor for a front page, hard hitting non-food related story when she is sent to cover the dentists' convention in town. With her best friend and photographer Maxine in tow, a discouraged Summer heads to the convention center to cover what she fully expects to be a boring weekend of stuffy dentists and hours-long lectures about dental hygiene. A restaurant opening suddenly looks like a good thing. When she stumbles across blackmail, jealousy, and affairs, Summer gets excited- she thinks this will be her first big story. Finding the body of a prominent dentist sure doesn't hurt either. Things are looking up for Summer!
