Siamo noi a decidere cosa deve fare questo hardware: un sequencer, un sintetizzatore, un generatore di musica dance, un equalizzatore, una batteria elettronica. È possibile "costruire" una patch (ovvero un programma) che indica all'hardware cosa fare, e possiamo giocare costruendoci noi lo strumento che desideriamo. Possiamo anche scaricare dal web delle patch già costruite, caricarle sulla memoria del dispositivo, e suonare con quelle.
