Die vorliegende Arbeit umfasst ökologische Untersuchungen an zwei Feuchtgebietsseggen, nämlich C. articulatus und C. laevigatus, an der Küste des Nildeltas. Die Auswirkungen des Wasserstandes und der Nährstoffzugabe auf das Wachstum und die chemische Zusammensetzung beider Arten wurden ebenfalls untersucht. Dieses Buch zielt vor allem darauf ab, die potenzielle Nutzung natürlicher Wildpflanzen als Tierfutterressource zu beleuchten. Die Ökologie von zwei Wildseggenarten, nämlich: Cyperus articulatus und C. laevigatus, wurde untersucht. Auch die Parameter der Futterqualität wurden untersucht. Für beide Zielseggenpflanzen wurden Versuche durchgeführt.
