Populus deltoides "Stoneville 66" und Populus x canadensis "Conti 12", in der Provinz Buenos Aires gebräuchliche Klone, wurden über eine Vegetationsperiode (14 Jahre) geprüft. Die Klone wurden in fünf Pflanzrahmen (Behandlungen) in Parzellen mit 6 mal 6 Reihen und doppeltem Rand in drei Blöcken geprüft.Die getesteten Pflanzrahmen waren: 2,5 m x 2,5 m; 2 m x 3,5 m; 2,5 m x 3,5 m; 2,8 m x 3,5 m und 3,5 m x 3,5 m, wobei die Parzellen je nach Rahmen zwischen 225 m und 441 m gro waren.Jahr für Jahr wurden die Brusthöhenumfänge und die Gesamthöhen gemessen. Durchmesser in Brusthöhe, Basalflächen und Basalflächendichte wurden berechnet. Die Wachstumskurven wurden je nach Klon und Anbaurahmen angepasst. Die mittleren jährlichen Wachstumsraten wurden je nach Klon, Anbaurahmen und Alter berechnet.Das gewonnene Material ermöglicht die Abschätzung von Wachstumsstadien, die Kombination von genetischem Material, Pflanzrahmen und Alter.
