When George Dymond began his job at the Watts Nuclear Power Plant, he was only looking to climb the corporate ladder. Making friends and connections during his career climb also included leaving competitors in the dust--and as he became a bigger name in the power plant, Dymond made more enemies. However, Dymond's enemies may have plots with bigger casualties than Dymond's job. Vener's debut novel examines the nuclear power industry in depth, explaining the workings of the plant with scientific accuracy while tying in a poignant revenge plot that is entwined with the nuclear industry as a whole. The novel takes a satirical glance at fear-mongering papers and organizations throughout the United States and focuses on the ways that fear can make people make irrational, and sometimes dangerous, decisions.
