This collection of seven short stories and an epistle is a gift to those, who like me, have lost a loved one, and are struggling to let go, and surge forward meaningfully. They will remind you of those heartaches, those overstretched nights, those betrayals, those tears, those precious moments, and some, rest assured, will light a smile in your sad face, uplift your soul, and ignite your dispirited heart. When my first true-love died on 8th February 2015, I knew I would never love again....Many months later, my fears are yet to be shaken by the conspicuous conspiracy of fate, destiny, and the usual slaps of an unforgiving time. How is it that once they are gone, we suddenly realize we never loved enough, never talked enough, never had each other enough. But that's life; a fat, round joke that hardly amuses. And when it amuses, the enchantment never lasts for as long as we would love. Is there such a thing as true love? Can we love anew once we lose our first true love?
