Synopsis "Penelope Hazard's (so not) Flawless Mountain Getaway (in English)"
Penelope needed a break from St. Georges. Her first few weeks in the supposedly quiet retirement neighborhood proved eventful in wasy she was still trying to shake off. When her unofficial grandpa, Bags, suggested she tag along with him for a week at a swanky resort in the Rocky Mountains, Penelope jumped at the chance for some rest, recreation, and low humidity sunshine. Bags called it a "boondoggle," which in this instance seemed to describe being part of the entourage at an upscale leadership conference organized by their good friends and St. Georges neighbors, Will and Trish Wilhight. Bags would be there to keep his old friend and featured conterence speaker, Shep Torstein, company, while Penelope would be there to do the same for Bags. So apparently "boondoggle" was ancient slang for "pretend to work while having fun in a cool place." That's how their week in Colorado began. There was a boy, a beautiful boy, which, of course, complicated things. There was a new friend, April. Very cool. And then there was some trouble. Things got interesting again -- interesting like her first weeks in Florida. So once again, quite against her wishes, Penelope found herself in the middle of a mystery. Actually, there were a few mysteries bundled up together this time, and Penelope was right in the middle of all of them. She was beginning to think it was her! And by the end of the week, she would find that some of it kinda was about her.
