Paleo-Hebrew, also called Phoenician, is theorized by Travis to be the oldest alphabetic script. Paleo means "old". This manual goes over the alphabet and its meaning, the vocabulary, the grammar, and demonstrates how to translate. The discussion about the names and sounds of each letter is theorized by Travis to be comparable to Paleo-Greek. His theory is that the language was intended as a picture language. The pictures were derived from Egyptian pictures called Hieroglyphs and were turned into their cursive form called Egyptian Hieratic script.
