Evan Raby is tired. Tired of his wife's frequent mood swings. Tired of her shallow friends and their inane conversation. Tired of the job that no longer challenges him. So very, very tired. Perhaps if he could just get a good night's sleep then things might not seem so bad. But sleep is not something Evan is particularly good at. If it's not the sudden return of the recurring nightmare that once haunted his childhood, then it'll be one of his frequent night terrors - filling his mind with confusion and forcing him kicking and screaming from his bed. Awake, yes, but still very much in the grip of imagination's own fancy. And if it's neither of those things, then what on earth could be making him feel so scared?
