Nei miei 53 anni di cinofilia ho visto troppe incongruenze, troppe problematiche nei cani, sia fisiche che psichiche, evitabili con una selezione rispettosa del cane; la tendenza è quella di perseverare nell'errore, complici da una parte il denaro e dall'altra l'estetica portata all'estremo. Nel mio cuore e nella mia testa c'è sempre stato l'ideale di un cane con ottime doti naturali e grande resistenza fisica, e per giungere a queste caratteristiche occorre ripartire nella selezione con soggetti nelle stesse condizioni dei cani prima del 1911.
