The first story in the book - Letters - is about someone who moved into a new house and keeps receiving letters from a mysterious person named Jack. Jack explains that he's a ghost who is trapped in the house and can't escape. He has unfinished business, but what is it? The second story - Hayley - is about a girl named Charlotte whose friend, named Hayley, was murdered, except they didn't know who killed her. Then, Charlotte uses an Ouija board and Hayley communicates with her. Hayley spells out the words 'Lauren' and 'secret.' But after she finds out the secret, Lauren is killed.
