Synopsis "Misadventures with the Traveling Suitcase (in English)"
You think you have your trip all planned out; you find the biggest suitcase possible, then pack it with everything you own. You have your itinerary all planned to the last detail. You have read, researched, and blogged everything. You've hired someone responsible enough to take care of your pets and your house while you're on this amazing adventure. What could possibly go wrong? Not one person tells you that you'd better be in shape because you will be climbing up and down hills and steps endlessly (some of it with the loaded house you brought). No one says taking public transportation in a foreign country gives a fifty-fifty chance of making it to your destination alive! You won't hear it from anyone, but the universal language everywhere you go is "body language." As a slightly overweight, in-not-such-good-shape, little-over-middle-aged American woman with an opinionated, overbearing, sometimes-I-just-want-to-kill-him husband sailing off to the ultimate destination of Rome, Italy, I will tell you the most important things that you will need to know to survive your adventure. I'm positive you will laugh while learning what to do and especially what not to do when traveling abroad, be it by ship, planes, trains, taxis, busses, shuttles, automobiles, or the metro.
