Synopsis "Mini Readers (in English)"
Children can read 15 stories on a variety of topics and levels. These booklets feature high frequency sight words in patterned sentences with entertaining stories and drawings. Each title includes reproducible flash cards with essential vocabulary and pictures for previewing the story as well as for reviewing details such as characters, events. etc. Stories in this title include: 1. My Book of Letters: A cute drawing is superimposed on each letter of the alphabet to help students remember the name and sound of each letter.2. Bird Colors: Birds of all the colors of the rainbow help students learn the color words as well as the high frequency words "this," "one," "is," and "a."3. My Farm: A predictable sentence pattern "Look at my _____" introduces very useful sight words and farm animal names.4. I Like Fruit: A slightly more advanced sentence pattern introduces even more essential sight words and reviews color words: "Do you like (fruit)? I like (color) (fruit)."5. I Love Fruit: A similar sentence pattern now introduces numbers while reviewing colors and the names of fruit: "I have (number) (color) (fruit)."6. My Cat Likes to Play: The repeated sentence in this book features the sight words "My," "cat," "plays," "with," "the" and the names of common pets.7. Where Is My Toy? This title features the high frequency words "here" and "there" in repeated sentences.8. What Is Bigger? In addition to learning about sea creatures, this book covers the concept of sizes.9. The Rain Forest: This title features animals of the rain forest and the sight words "animals," "that," "live," "in," and "the."10. The Sad Caterpillar: A caterpillar is sad because she is not like her friends, until she realizes that she is special in her own way! 11. At the Library: The characters from the some of the most popular fairy tales come together in this fun story!12. The Life of a Butterfly: This title covers the life cycle of butterflies and includes essential vocabulary such as "egg," caterpillar," "chrysalis," and "butterfly."13. Wild Animals: This is a more challenging reader with two sentences per page that describe popular wild animals.14. When You Grow Up: In addition to including the sight words "want," "when," "what," "would," and "were," this title makes students think about what one does in each profession.15. Cody Goes Shopping: Our highest leveled reader includes math concepts, the days of the week and an entertaining story about a boy who spends his money.
