Synopsis "Mercy for Christmas (in English)"
Mercy for Christmas is a sweet holiday romance about Theresa Pavoni and her one special wish to adopt a new dog for Christmas. Theresa works with her parents and brother at their family-owned business, Pavoni's Market, but her heart belongs to the local animal shelter where she volunteers several days a week. As she and her family get ready for the Pavoni's Market annual Christmas activities that they host every year for their community, a series of life-changing crises and events threaten to destroy the holiday season. Just as things are spiraling out of control, Theresa finally finds the dog of her dreams when she goes into the shelter and sees a tiny Pit bull with large frightened eyes huddling in the back of a cage. Interestingly, the newly rescued dog that immediately steels her heart was saved and brought into the shelter by the man who once broke it. Turns out Theresa's big brother's childhood best friend and her biggest crush, Andy, has moved back home. The last time Theresa saw Andy he left town to chase some gorgeous blonde to California, but now he's back and has been hired as the newest police officer for the Frasier Police Department. As Theresa continues to fall in love with the little Pit bull, she finds herself falling hard for Andy all over again. The kiss under the mistletoe at the community tree decorating party might have something to do with that. Unfortunately, just as the Pavoni clan begins to get back on track and are working hard to prepare for the holidays, a terrible mistake at the shelter results in Theresa loosing her beloved pooch before she is able to take her home. Broken-hearted Theresa doubts she will ever find another dog as special as the little one she's lost, but her family, friends, and the community that adores her will come together with a plan. Will the handsome new Frasier police officer help them save the day? One thing is for sure, they will need a little Mercy.
