Enfants, nous voulions tous jouer au hockey comme Maurice Richard. Certains avaient du talent, d'autres, pas du tout. Je faisais partie de la seconde catégorie, n'ayant aucune aptitude ni habileté pour la pratique de ce sport. Dès la première tentative, j'aurais dû abandonner ce rêve. La nature m'avait défavorisé. À défaut de talent, j'y mettais tout mon coeur. Passionné comme pas un. Le hockey dans les tripes, des images plein la tête, je tentais de suivre la trace de mon héros.
