Atlas Dixon's family is in hiding - they are still trying to fulfill their calling as superheroes, but they must exercise caution in how they do so. SAICOD has been fully accepted by the United States and other world countries and now hunts down Specials, capturing them and doing whatever they want with them, aided by their conspiratorial partnership with the Shadow Killer assassins and the group of supervillains led by the Leech. Every move Atlas and his team make brings them one step closer to being taken by the government, even with Symon helping them from the inside. To make matters worse, as Ava begins to control her clairvoyance, she begins to see things that foretell certain doom to not just Atlas and the heroes, but perhaps the entire world. In the midst of the chaos, Keagan, the rogue Shadow Killer, is hell-bent on revenge, and he's targeted those at the very top of the corruption first. When the heroes have the chance to apprehend him and save lives, the virtuous stance taken by Atlas causes division over whether all lives should be considered equal or whether some are worth sacrificing for the greater good. Will Team Dixon's morals be the catalyst for a solution or another piece in the saga of their inevitable downfall?
