Synopsis "Marigold the Honeybee (in English)"

Marigold is a sweet little honeybee who lives in her hive with her mother, the queen, her brothers, the drones and all of her sisters. Her job is to guard the hive and although she is a fearless guard bee, she often daydreams about one day being a forager bee and going out into the magical world of flowers. Finally, Marigold gets to attend forager class where she learns the importance of filling her pollen baskets and the dangers she must avoid. The most important rule she learns is to be back inside the hive before sundown. The following morning, Marigold leaves the hive with her sisters and after searching for what seems like a very long time, she spots a field of beautiful sunflowers. The honeybees are busy filling their pollen baskets when the sky darkens and Marigold ducks under a mushroom to avoid having the rain fall on her wings. While under the mushroom, she meets a beautiful butterfly named Annabella. During their conversation Marigold learns that butterflies live in a cocoon before they are born just like honeybees. Once the rain stops, Marigold leaves her new friend in search of her sisters. Believing she has spotted them, she lands on a carnival ride, then tries to find pollen on sticky cotton candy which she mistakes for flowers. She is shooed away by an annoyed carnival worker and soon realizes the sun is setting and she must hurry back to her hive. She flies very quickly making sure she is notSpotted by any birds and arrives at her hive just as the sun is setting. Marigold's pollen baskets are only half full but when she empties them it is enough polllen to ring a giant bell announcing there would be a pollen party for every honeybee in their hive. At the party, Marigold and her sisters perform the waggle dance to show the other foragers where to find the field of sunflowers. Then everyone laughs as Marigold tells about her carnival ride and the human who shooed her away. After the party, Marigold sleeps peacefully dreaming of what adventures she would have tomorrow.
