At their urging, Elliot places an ad for a bride. He's skeptical until he receives a letter from a woman who captures his attention and his heart with her unusual letters. After corresponding for almost three months, Elliot and Abby are more than ready to meet. When they do, it's like they've always known each other, and their romance is off to a wonderful start. He keeps the vivacious, energetic woman grounded and she brings laughter and impulsiveness to his life. Things are perfect until the town of Dawson must face a hard decision and another man enters the picture.
