Synopsis "Mahmud Muhammad Taha: Bayn Al-Qur'an Al-Makki Wal-Qur'an Al-Madani"
Mahmud Muhammad Taha, hanged in Sudan in 1985 at the instigation of Al-Azhar, the Muslim Brotherhood and Saudi Arabia, is the most important reformer of Islam of all time. His thinking is based on the abandonment of the Qur'an and Islam of Medina considered incompatible with human rights, and the return to the Qur'an and Islam of Mecca in what he calls the second message of Islam. This book in Arabic traces his life and his thought, and reproduces the decisions that led to his hanging, as well as eight of his main writings.
