After sitting his sons down for a tale that he hoped would lead them in the right direction, poet and businessman DeMarcus Powers is sure that he has gotten through to them. It's back to life as usual. A regular October business day turns sour when he is called to a police precinct in a less affluent neighborhood than his own. He arrives to see the story he'd told them went into one ear and out of the other and his boys have been arrested. After delivering a little corporal punishment he sits down with his sons and tells the next part of his true story, hoping the more severe situations will enforce the lessons on a grander scale. With the aid of one of DeMarcus' brothers, the vivid details of his story's lead man Teddy's life are drawn out for the two teenage boys with the hopes that they are steered away from the game they seem so desperate to be a part of. The exploits of his love life, the college lifestyle, glorification of money and the power of the drug game will all be on display for his sons to see. The boys of GMC were no longer. They were men once the diplomas were handed to them. What does GMC do when the person they left for dead is alive and well? Does Braylin get his $120,000 of dirty money? Is Art going to be able to raise a growing boy at 18 and will Lisa stick around to help? Does Teddy and Sabrina make it in the new environment that is college life?
