Events leading to World War II complicate everyone's lives, including future Prime Minister of England Winston Churchill, who must dodge an assassination attempt. Political espionage by a high-level Nazi spy, German sympathizers and English double-agents unfold in attempts to alter the coming war, and world's power structure. A surprise ending impacts Gatewood's life forever.
