I awoke with the vision to leave for Paris. This is the story of falling in love with the City of Lights. "If it is possible to love a city, the heart surely does swell, fluttering at the thought of such; obsessive, captivated, enchanted. It feels as though finally returning home, after a lifetime away, in a place to which I've never been before. How can it be, to long for a place, to which one has never been? Surely the myth should break down with the landing of reality, but it is all as imagined and more." "A nomadic dream, illuminated with wine, gives an unspeakable life to the submarine lamps of this obscure underground, in a forgotten alley, by which it was passed three times before it could be found. It is a place one can not see, unless one knows it is there." "From the steps, the magical shimmer of zigzag lines of that Parisien street lamp's yellow, across puddles, tossed about carelessly by the day's rain, puddles laying about lazily through out the winding alleys or on church entrances; in this moment, I am in the cracks of the cobblestones, I am the gentle caress of the warmest lights that exist in reflections as much as in lamps."
