From the creation of man until the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and until now, God has never intended us to see living for Him as adherence to rules and regulations. How many people have you known who undertake as much church related activities as possible, in effort to please the Lord? Yet Hebrews 11:6 says that without FAITH, it's impossible to please Him. Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;This is the New Covenant that was foretold by the prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 31:33). How difficult it must have been at that time to understand how this could happen - God's law written on our hearts and in our minds. This is the "life in the Spirit" that was foretold and is now revealed.
