My Favor it Men - Doris Hinky is seventy-eight years old when her fifteen year old great grandson comes from Wyoming to live with her in Oklahoma. They haven't seen each other since he was a boy. She has to deal with his bad attitude. She gets support from her neighbor Charlie Scoefield. She gets her strength through prayer. Sandwiches for God's Poor - Reverend Morrison and seven of his elderly parishioners decide to visit all 48 lower states in one summer and feed the homeless besides visiting tourist attractions. They are already good friends but this experience brings them closer together. By the end of the summer they have completed all their bucket lists except they still want to see the northern lights. Gone Fishin' - Agnes and Scott Henderson and their five children love to fish. Scott dreams of someday floating the Mississippi River. Agnes thinks this is a boy's dream for Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn; but Scott and the children talk about it so often Agnes begins to wonder if it is a dream that may come true. The characters in each of these novellas face real problems but also experience happy times and humorous moments. By the end of each story you will feel like you personally know each character. These are easy read stories that are often enjoyed from start to finish in one sitting.
