Synopsis "Liberty for the Brave (in English)"

Commander Sam Wilson-Carter didn't mind the hijab, it didn't really hinder her in her work although sometimes she felt it was totally unnecessary. When she met with Saudi men at the Ministerial level she felt they wanted to see what her hair looked like. The head covering allowed her to maintain a slight air of mystery about her though, just a wisp of her blonde hair ever showed. She wondered what the men were thinking about as she made her presentations. She knew what her friend King Fahd thought about her though, he wanted to adopt her. She was giving him exactly what he had hoped for, safety from that murdering megalomaniac in Baghdad, Saddam Stupid Mustache Hussein. How she'd ever come to this desert land she'd never understand, but her boss had faith in her and that's all she cared about. She'd just had a satellite phone conversation with him and he'd patted her on the back. She called him every afternoon at the White House to update him on where they stood in the build-up to Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Today she was able to report that her friend the King had offered to pay all expenses for the support the US and their allies were providing. President Bush had been very pleased indeed. She smiled and laughed inwardly as she thought about her chores for tomorrow, lunch with Crown Prince Abdullah and his wives. She always enjoyed those ladies' company, they were almost as American as she was! Well, she was teaching them to be anyway. Afterward she would go meet with General Schwarzkopf. He always had something he needed help in fixing. Hopefully it would be something fun, something she could put her mind to. She would wear the hijab to meet him. She liked the air of mystery it gave her. If everything went well maybe she'd find out what the President had in store for her after her desert duty. Anything was possible.
