Synopsis "Las playas de Esculapius"

En la década del setenta un grupo de jóvenes marchan a estudiar medicina a una isla caribeña. Allí sufren diversas vicisitudes: terremotos, huracanes, epidemias y el descubrimiento sorpresivo, en una playa, del cádaver, de una bella joven conocida. Al misterio y al drama se une una historia de amor no correspondido, en un fondo histórico y social donde salen a relucir la Guerra de Vietnam, el paso de varios presidentes norteamericanos, la captura y muerte del Che Guevara y el éxodo del Mariel. Mariana, Lula y Néstor, tres jóvenes estudiantes de medicina, nos adentran en la trama, dejándonos de paso preciosas perlas científicas sobre forénsica médica e investigación clínica.
