Lainswich has its tricentennial coming up soon. That's three-hundred years of existence for the insular, idyllic little town. It's got the whole town busy, including Rowen's family. When local dentist Edward Waite is found murdered, the police immediately seek help from Rowen. The deceased was shot execution style and, not only that, the crime scene makes it look like a sinister ritual has taken place. It's only a matter of time before Lainswich starts to suspect their resident witching family, the Greensmiths. Rowen wants no part in the investigation, but she might not have a choice. Trouble has a way of finding her. This time, trouble has taken the form of what appears to be a super creepy cult.
