Action of the book takes place in New York in early 1990-ies and relates to death case of 10 years earlier near Suru village in northern west of Nigeria where goat hoarder found in the bush lacerated expatriate's body working there on contract. Mysterious man responsible for investigation of this case wants to hire Robert to find a murderer. He thinks that the man who now lives in New York City might be the main source of the information or even might be a suspect in the murder. Robert was born in US but his parents were Polish citizens. He have never been in Poland and was only temporarily in Nigeria during Biafra. Why client wants to hire nobody else but Robert? Do Robert accept his offer?
