Synopsis "Journey (in English)"
Akash suffers from chronic depression and anxiety attacks attributed to a tragedy that occurred when he was just seven years old. He and his father were on a hiking trip in the Himalayan Mountains in India when his father lost his balance and fell to his death right in front of Akash's eyes. Akash never shared the whole incident with anyone, and he continued to blame himself for not having been able to save his father. He spent his life without a father, and with guilt that haunted him every day. The journey to find the truth and make peace with his past begins after another anxiety attack during a Diwali function. This forces his family to find the root cause of such devastating attacks. Akash is referred to Dr. Kiran Joshi, a well-known, but controversial psychiatrist. Dr. Joshi, who is under investigation by the American Medical Board for her controversial methods, reluctantly accepts Akash as her new patient after repeated pleas from his wife, Aarti. After several intense and stressful therapy sessions, Dr. Joshi recommends that the whole family take some time off and visit the place of the accident in India. The journey back to India turns turbulent and tragic. Akash must take control of a difficult situation to save his family and fellow passengers. This is a story of love, commitment, and personal sacrifices. It is a story of courage and human imagination in overcoming obstacles against great odds. This is a journey of a man and his family on a quest to find answers.
