Synopsis "Jinx the Revolution (in English)"
As the secret daughter of a mercenary, Jinx was raised at his training camp and worked very hard to master all the skills he taught in hopes of pleasing him. Often the only female around for miles, she's seen and heard too much. She doesn't trust men in general and mercenaries in particular.When she goes to a war-torn Central American island to rescue her little sister from rebels, she's forced to work with them and comes to believe in their cause. She's willing to risk her life in exchange for her sister's release, but not her heart to Gage, an American mercenary working with them. Gage's Special Forces military background came in handy when his longtime friend from boarding school started a revolution in his homeland to oust a cruel dictator. Her gaze kept straying to his sleeping form, and she finally decided she might as well just have a good look so she could get over her immature curiosity.Her face felt like it was on fire, and she bit her lip as she took in his brawny, well-muscled arms and broad shoulders. He had a chiseled chest and washboard abs that tapered into a flat stomach. She shifted uncomfortably as she followed the trail of hair from his bellybutton to the waistband of his white cotton underwear. Her throat was suddenly dry, and she quickly skipped her gaze over the briefs to his muscled thighs and the rest of his long toned legs.She turned her back to him quickly, wondering at the nervous flutter in her stomach. So he had a nice body. Big deal. She could acknowledge it without being attracted to him, right? After all, nice body didn't translate to nice man.She forced herself to turn back and look more closely at the front of his left shoulder. Her teeth marks were still visible, and the skin was broken on a couple of the marks.She had bitten him as an act of desperation the first night when they'd fought."You know, it's not polite to stare," came Gage's amused voice.She jumped at the sound, her horrified gaze going to his smiling face and quickly leaving again as she turned her back to him. If you'd looked at my face instead of just my body, you might have noticed my eyes were open." "You caught me, and I'm very embarrassed, but it doesn't mean anything." She stared at the outside wall of the tent. "Will you just forget about it? Pretend it didn't happen?""Now, where's the fun in that?" He had moved silently and spoke from directly behind her.
