Throughout he is facing a series of dangerous missions in pursuit of a Mastermind Bank Robber and murderer whilst still trying to maintain a normal life and pursuits with his family. In the first story, Lure of Gold, he tries to trace gold stolen from the Sultan of Oman and finds an adversary who at every turn kills anyone trying to detain him. In the second story, Temptation of War, David has to find a missing Omani Princess during the current political struggles in Zimbabwe, but soon becomes entangle with the same adversary, as he fights to free the Princess from what is fast becoming a War scenario between rival political factions in Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe. In the final story, Stones of Sorrow, David is up against the same wicked perpetrator as before, only this time directed at killing his son if David does not stop his activities against the Mastermind.
