Der vorliegende Band ist das Ergebnis des Projekts "Interreligiose Bildung als Beitrag zu einer pluralitatsfahigen Gesellschaft", das sich mit Grundsatzfragen interreligioser Zusammenarbeit befasst. Die Beitrage untersuchen die starke Betonung von Unterschieden im interreligiosen Dialog, wahrend das Gemeinsame und Integrative weniger zum Tragen kommt. Daraus ergibt sich die Frage nach Moglichkeiten und Grenzen interreligioser Kommunikation im Bildungskontext. In dem Sinne, dass etwas "auch anders sein konnte als es aktuell ist" (Robert Musil) wird von Kontingenz- oder Moglichkeitsbewusstsein gesprochen. In diesem Bewusstsein nahern sich katholische, evangelische und islamische Religionspadagogen einem Wahrheitsbegriff an, der es ermoglicht, moglichkeitsbewusster und integrativer zu handeln.
