As a mother, grandmother and mentor, Mary was inspired to write her book after seeing numerous youth suffering from depression as a result of bullying. Many youth are negatively impacted by damaging words and actions others inflicted on them. The character in her book, Kyimi uses her kind words to inspire youth of all cultures across the world to believe in themselves and never give up on their dreams.
