This picture book, I Lost My Tooth, is one of simplicity with deep meaning. It is with minimal and predictable text. The main character "Walrus" makes a perfect subject as his two long teeth are so notable in defining his character. Multiple other characters within the mammalian family cry out, proclaiming they too have lost a tooth. The stress of loss is resolved, and hope is restored to all other animals when "Walrus" grows a second replacement tooth (as most mammals do).
