Margo has done the one thing her adopted family would not understand - she has become a thief. Her strange family is a large human mechanic named Tiny and a floating robot with too many upgrades to its AI system and calls Margo its daughter. Worse, she has on her trail what is known as the deadliest killer on this side of the universe, a Veldan shifter. As she hunts for buyers for her stolen item in her special and rare small space ship, she constantly feels the pressure of the dark shadow following her. Not even the handsome member of the giant crime family that owns so many casinos can protect her. Worse, everyone is afraid to buy her precious stolen item except the enemy who lost the last war. The angry fighters who wait on the sidelines hoping to get anything they can about the Veldan shifters. But they want her special little ship as much as they want the unusual item she has stolen from the forbidden jungle planet of Veld. Her only hope is to find a buyer for her treasure to escape from the shifter and hope the Space Marine Corps don't arrest her first. Running is now her only hope as she hunts for options.
