As to my qualifications for writing this book, well, let's just say, thanks to Buster, my dog, I have made well over a 1,000 trips to the dog park, just to entertain him and eliminate some of his high-energy. One day, after one incident too many, I decided I had to write down my experiences. Everything I have recorded, every incident is based on fact and did happen. My interpretation of the events is based on observation and common sense. Because of the bond I developed, over time, with my dog, I was able to incorporate two perspectives to these events, namely mine and Buster's. Buster's running commentary, punctuated with pithy asides creates a humorous overtone which keeps the narrative flowing. Frankly, I had no choice but to go to the dog park as it was the only place in Los Angeles where I could unleash him and let him run and play with other dogs. And to top it all, once I saw how much fun Buster had at the dog park, how could I not take him? It is also a great place to meet people and interact.
