After 29 years of classroom experience, she joined CREC to provide services centered on creating Common Core math curriculum, modeling conceptual instruction and writing assessments for Common Core curriculum units. She is a frequent presenter for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), the Association of Teachers of Mathematics in New England (ATMNE) and Connecticut's Association of Teachers of Mathematics in Connecticut (ATOMIC) Annual Conference. At the 2016 ATOMIC Annual Conference, she was awarded the Mari Muri Award in recognition of her lifelong contributions to the teaching of mathematics. The contents of this book are a compilation of the work she has shared with the varied classrooms throughout New England.
