Throughout it all, she realizes that God never puts more in front of you than you can handle, especially if you're not afraid to ask for help and know that He speaks your language. About the Author Tereatha Allen Akbar was born in rural Michigan, before settling with her first husband in Arizona. She moved back to the Near North Side in Chicago where she currently lives with her second husband, Clyde Akbar. They spend their winters in Florida. She retired from Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago as Director of Educational Outreach and later from Chicago Public Schools as Dean of Students.
