From A Man's Perspective Being raised in a single parent home didn't provide me the luxuries of having a male role model (preferably my father). My mom was an independent strong black woman, but I had always found myself longing for the love of my dad. Nonetheless, by age six, I had written him off. All the knowledge I've acquired about men was from a man. With every mistake I made, there was experience gained. I'd jump in and out of relationships and could never seem to get my footing planted firmly enough to stay put. I've dated them all; from an in the closet homosexual to abusers, drug dealers, cheaters, criminals and liars. No matter the outcome of the relationship with my dad or any man I've dated, one thing remains, I love men something terrible!
