Synopsis "Feeling Low (in English)"
For one child, life seems very hard. They feel lost, slow, and alone, and don't feel like doing anything. A gray cloud follows them around and none of their friends seem to care. The hopeless child feels so low they want to disappear for good. Thankfully, Hope reaches out. She takes her friend to a doctor's office. The child discovers that they are not alone, and learns there are many ways to lift their mood. Thanks to sunshine, exercise, and good food, the child feels excited and energized once more. As the world bursts back into color, there does not seem to be a cloud in sight. But when the child shares their feelings with friends, what will the reaction be? And will the support of a counselor help them to avoid feeling low again? Feeling Low... provides young readers with a story of resilience, acceptance, love, friendship, and hope. At a time when all our lives have been challenged and transformed due to the pandemic, this short story provides a much-needed focus on what really matters: health, friendships, and support.
