The gold is rumored to be hidden somewhere on the property of Brookhaven by the long dead daughter of the original owners of Brookhaven. Belle Landers born prior to the Civil War lived at Brookhaven her entire life, loving and caring for the old mansion, but some say she has never left and remains guarding the gold. Farra has aspirations of becoming an investigator some day and enjoys solving mysteries, often to the dismay of her brother, Tommy and cousin, Taylor who always seem to reluctantly become involved in Farra's sleuthing. Similar to the beloved Nancy Drew, Trixie Belden and The Hardy Boys mystery series; Farra Morgan is set in present day. A great book for young readers with the absence of profanity, sex, drugs or alcohol, just great suspense filled reading.
